Building PC for friend -- SB Live and XP -- any problems?

I'm building a rig for my friend and plan on running XP pro. Should I expect any problems with the SB Live Value card?

SBLive! (X-gamer) here too with XP.

Only problem I had was when I used the creative software (latest) I thought all was good until

I used Voice-over in TFC (Half-life multiplayer). It was transmitting all garbled.... Went back to the

XP native drivers (be sure to do the windows update thingy) and life was good again.
 
No problems here with the default XP drivers PLUS the update downloaded from windowsupdate. Suggest that you stick with the default XP drivers but BE SURE to download the updates on windowsupdate.

The driver that I downloaded from Creative's website for the Live! Value messed up my system, I finally formatted and reinstalled and I'm sticking to whatever I can get from MS on Windows update.
 
Same here, using a SBLive! GamerX on WinXP with the latest Windows Update drivers. Never had a problem so I never bothered installing Creative's drivers.
