Building new system

So I'm building a new system and I think everything looks ok, but I'm not really an expert on hardware so I figured I'd post it here and somebody could point out if I was being a moron.

I already have Radeon HD 4870 and 2 widescreen monitors I got as gifts (Viewsonic VX2835wm and Viewsonic VP2650wb). Any glaring mistakes or big things I should do differently or am I good to go?

I'm guessing it was unintentional, but you linked categories of parts rather than specific items.

Everything looks fine but any reason why you're going with a 1TB Black drive and a 640GB Blue drive??? It's no big deal or anything and won't mess up anything, just curious.

Why the Q6600 exactly?

For gaming, an e8400/e8500 is better/faster/cooler/cheaper.

For quad-optimized apps, try the Q8200 (equal/cooler) or Q9400 (slightly more expensive for better performance & cooler).

the AC cooler for $27 really isn't that good price/performance. You can get a Xigmatek S1283($37) or Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer ($40) for a 10-spot more and both will blow away the old AC. Doubly so if you're gonna be overclocking, you won't get that much headroom with the AC

Thanks for all the tips! Definitely very helpful. And yeah, I had meant to have both drives as black, must have mis-clicked on that one.
