I already know i am going to build a 1.2-1.3 tbird, with ddr memory from crucial. Light overclockinging only (a few mhz here, a few mhz there, nothing hardcore). What motherboards out there have given you the best experiences?
I would go for a DDR board. If you want a RAID solution, go for the 7DXR (more expensive, more features) or the 8K7A+ (less expensive, some features less), both overclock and perform similar.
Well, I just built mine with the ASUS A7M266 DDR board and it would be fine for what you describe. The only limitation is inability to set the Multiplier, but since you mentioned just a MHz here and there, that is no problem. You can set the FSB is increments of 1MHz +/- at a time. It is a good performing board and is stable.
