will be building a top end HT and gaming PC this winter(one sytem). However, I need to orginize my office first( build shelves and so forth). I want to go wireless in the office as we have 2 printers in which one is a fax\printer\copier in one and a stand alone scanner. I would like to setup the printers (two) to two different PCs. In other words I as well as my wife can access each one of the printers on our on. I never have utilized anything wireless and I would like some suggestions on what I need. I would like to leave my options open on the wireless system of choice in the since I could add other componets later-IF NEEDED- I dont know what that may be but I do know I am about to purchase and install speakers through out the house, 3 dvrs or utilize the PC as the dvr(still trying to figure that one out, one more hd tv, and a game system or once again use the PC as the game system. I am going to try to use the PC, as much as possable, as a digital media center. So I am only imagining it would be wise to find and use wireless hardware that is capable giving me options.

Now things that I am imagining that I could do (but I may not be able to do, I just dont know):
1. listen to and control music in various rooms or outside, I would like all of the music in one place. my first choice is the new PC. If this is wise I dont know. Some people have stand alone 400 count cd players or stereo receivers We have most of our music on ipods or our hardrives and I like this idea.

2. ditto on video. we have four tvs throughout the house that i would like to access the PC and use them as moniters. I dont know if that is possible (distance from PC a factor? hardwire or wireless).

thanks

I read an article on the new netgear products: EVA700 Digital Entertainer, RangeMax Next Wireless-N Router and the Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter Kits. the article is in the magazine FirstGlimpse. However the article only touches on what these systems can do but it does not tell what their limitations are. The article actually states that the use of this hardware is a whole-house entertainment system. It utilizes the 802.11n and it claims extended range and that it has "steady stream technology" which allows "watch a web based video, download files, make a VoIP phone call, and even play games over your home network, at the same time, without fear that everything will come to a screeching halt." Now what are the gotchas if any? what are the things that I need to think about?
