PU : Intel Pentium 4 3.4C(Northwood)[planning to buy this after the pricecuts]

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-8KNXP REV.2

[OK NOW I AM CHOOSING BETWEEN THIS AND THE P4C800E-Dlx,which one is the best for {ONLY} STABILITY,i dont mind less performance but i want stability ...plus i really like the features of the GIGA]
RAM: Corsair Valueram 1Gb(512Mb*2)[not gettin the XMS since am not OC'ing]

PSU: Antec Truepower 480W
GPU : ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Mouse/keyboard: Logitech Cordless MX Duo

CASE: Antec P160
[Should i buy this or save some cash and go for PLUSVIEW1000AMG i really dont mind if it is steel or aluminium...but does the P160 cool better?]
Pioneer DVRA08 [CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHATS THE DIFF Between this and the DVR-108??]
i already have 2 80Gb HDD's so i dont need more space
[BTW A STUPID QUESTION: CAN I ?PUT A 5400rpm drive and 7200rpm drive in Raid 0?]
how is the config guys....one more Q how is this heatsink Thermalright XP-120?
this is my first PC build in like 5 years (ya i know i look like i am from STONEAGE)

:D

I'd take the P4C800E over any Gigabyte board, I've just had a lot of problems with them.
The memory's okay for what you're doing.

They're all good :)

The difference is likely to be a few degrees either way, so go for whichever one you prefer :)

Pioneer DVRA08 [CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHATS THE DIFF Between this and the DVR-108??]

One is the OEM version, one is retail. OEM will be fine, and cheaper.

You can, but it will affect performance quite a lot, and RAID-0 isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I don't really know the TR heatsinks, but the Zalman series are reckoned to be very good, and almost silent.

Otherwise, everything pretty much looks good.

thanks for the reply Dopefiend
now,
pretty much finalised everything except the MOBO.
About the Asus P4C800E-Deluxe,the main reason i am leaning towards the GIGA is because in MANY people seem to be having lots of issues with the MOBO whereas i dont see many users having problems with this particular GIGA.
is it because not many people have this MB(Gigabyte) or is the gigabyte better one?
What do u think?

DOES THE Thermalright XP-120 fit into the P4C800-E Deluxe/8KNXP Properly? [THIS MIGHT HELP ME CHOOSING THE CORRECT ONE]
anyone HERE having problems fitting the XP-120 into Either of the Boards?
