asus P5E deluxe
core 2 duo 3ghz 6meg 1133mhz E8400
coolermaster hyper 212+ cpu cooler
asus gts250 1gig
4 stick of 1 gig ram (planning to use only 2 until windows 7 come out)
HD western digital 750gig 7200rpm 32meg X4 (yes 4 of them)
650 watt psu thermaltake

i going to set 2 HD in raid0 with windows xp and games and the 2 other in raid1 to backup my important files.

normally i set my pagefile on a different drive that windows is on, but i was wondering if a good a idea since the 2nd set of HD are going to be in raid1

i am not sure what to do with the pagefile
i could:

1 put it on the 2nd set of drive in raid1 anyway
2 buy a SSD and set it there
3 buy a 10000rpm drive and put it on

some more info
this comp is for gaming
buget 2000$
part purchase in canada
intel (cpu and chipset)and nvidia fanboy
NO overcloaking at all
resolution 1024x768
going to be built in the next 2 week

beside the raid question feel free to give any advice you might think of.

i apologize for my poor english witch is not my native language.

well in the 2000$ budget you must include windows 7 and some item i dint' list like multi-fan controller, memory card reader, 16gig ubs memory card, case zalman gt1000, ups etc
so for the item listed above it's more like 1500$ MAX, my mistake sorry

Well if you're buying Win7 that means you're not building until mid-october, and a lot of things will change between now and then. For example, by then you should go with the new i5 coming out, which would be about $240 for the processor and $175 for a good motherboard. Also subtract the case since you picked one and you're at ~$1600. Drop the second WD Black (really, you don't need raid for storage) for another $100 off and I'd just about guarantee the GTX275 will drop in price $20 or maybe more with the release of the new ATI cards coming out

Also you could drop the SSD to the OCZ agility series for another ~$65 off

I would wait till Tuesday for the P55 release. You're talking about building a computer with parts that are at the end of their life just as a new platform is coming out. If early reports are to be believed, you should be able to get a very good new platform for about $375 (board, proc, RAM).

I question the choice of a gts 250. It's not really price competitive with ATI offerings.

I wouldn't worry too much about the pagefile. Let it reside in the RAID 0 with the rest of windows.
