Hello guys,
I'm planning to build a desktop pc which will mainly be used to process 24MP raw files in Lightroom. I heard a good processor is important for good performance in Lightroom but I don't know to which extent. Do you have any suggestions? I don't know how much I will spend on the cpu exactly but it should have a reasonably performance/price ratio. Thanks for reading guys. :)

Edit1:

1. What YOUR PC will be used for.
Mainly for processing 24MP raw files in Lightroom and Photoshop, web browsing, movies, music and office work with Word, Excel and Powerpoint. I don't plan to play any games.

2. What YOUR budget is.
Max. 1000€. It should have a reasonable price/performance-ratio. I don't plan to pay 100% more money for 2% more performance. If something for 500€ works fine that's cool.

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
Germany

4. IF YOU have a brand preference.
I don't have any brand reference.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
I don't have any current parts to use.

6. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Default speeds.

7. What resolution will you be using?
1920x1080

8.WHEN do you plan to build it?
Asap but I'm willing to wait if it is worth it.

Thanks for the replies.
The I7-3770K seems to be pretty good when I look at the benchmarks on this website concerning photoshop. Do these benchmark results translate for Lightroom or not?
