Building computer for cousin, cooling question...

hey. I'm building a system for my cousin with a 2000+. I was wondering what cooler to get for cheap. I was thinking the SVC gc68 but I don't know if that will suffice. If a louder fan was to be put in, I know it would be okay but I don't want him to suffer the noise. He said that it's okay but I know he's gonna regret a loud fan. Is there another solution to this or a fan that's not that loud? (Quieter than the delta 60mm 38cfm). Also, any more advice would be thankful for the parts.

Athlon XP 2000+
Gigabyte GA-7VRXP
Samsung 256 PC2700 X2
Chieftech DH-01 (Antec sx600 clone)
Maxtor 40gig 7200 rpm D740XL
Liteon 48x cdrw
ATI radeon 8500LE 128mb

TIA!

you can buy the retail version of the 2000+, which comes with a heatsink/fan. it should be fine as long as he isn't planning on overclocking.

The SVC GC68 would probably be fine, even if you go with a relatively quiet fan. If you still aren't comfortable, and want a top of the line HS, get the Thermalrightr AX-7 for about $25 and stick a Panaflo L1A on top of it.

The system looks good, just make sure you get 7VRXP REV 2.0, not the original revision.

Yeah, the original had some serious BIOS and voltage issues which REV 2.0 is supposed to have fixed. REV 2.0 also supports reading temps directly from the XPs internal diode instead of the innaccurate socket thermister.
