Building CarPuter: Best AMD Mainboard for the $? Smaller = better.

I am going to be building a computer for my Zuk, but would like a Mainboard Recomendation. I am out of the loop when it comes to small mainboards, everything I build is ATX.

So, I am looking for the smallest AMD mainboard with the best performance available for the price. I would like to keep it under $75 if possible. It will be running a AMD 1600+ - 2000+, so pc 133 or 266 DDR is fine. I don't need anything better.

Video onboard is a must, RCA video out is a bonus.

Any recomendations?

Hmmm how about a VIA miniITX board?

Its tiny, has everything on board and doesn't require excessive cooling. It can't do games very well but I guess ou are rather going to be using it as an entertainment station. It does have enough muscle for that.

The Asus A7N266-VM is a great mATX board for the money.

An nForce2 board with onboard video may do the job as will a Via KM400 based board.

those are nice and quiet as well, most of em dont even require a fan on the cpu, at least the ones ive seen

cheapness. The miniITX's I saw were $200 ish

Anyways...if it's a carputer you're looking for, i'm quite probably the person to talk to

My suggestion is the Epia M10000. Small, powerful, onboard everything (vid, usb2, firewire)

For power, which is the most important thing, please, do not go for an inverter/standard ac power supply Do it right, go for the 90W or 150W Opus, which is DC-DC (more efficient), has low voltage protection, wide-range input (8-18V), startup/shutdown controller (will turn on/off with the ignition, and shutdown properly). Yeah, it might look expensive, but it is well worth it, and it's the only power supply you'll EVER need for an in-car setup
