I am looking to build a 1.0ghz axia box.

with RAM prices as low as they are; I was thinking I could build this box with ddr ram instead of pc133.

I see no posts of people having good luck overclocking their 1.0gig axia's on ddr boards. In general; it seels that people haven't been choosing ddr.

is there a reason?

if not; what is a good overclock-friendly ddr board?

yup...DDR is pretty cheap now...but there arent any chipset matured enough for it...
to really optimize the performance of DDR...🙂

The AMD Chipset is plenty mature. They are producing some great numbers. I would get either the Epox 8K7A or Msi K7 Master. They are both great boards, but if you like tweaking get the Epox. The FIC and Gigabyte are great boards also. The Gigabyte and FIC has the best numbers so far. The FIC is also very cheap right now. You can get it for $114 shipped at newegg.com. That is a killer price. It also has mulpier and voltage options.
