Building an enclosed cabinet with no dust and good airflow?

I have a server that I'm looking to remove from my office and put into either the garage, or basement somewhere. Well, it's not really a server, but it will be probably transplanted into a server case.

In either case, I want to have this server in an enclosed place, and get as little dust as possible. I am moving into a new home so the garage seems like an ideal spot, though I don't know how hot it will get during the summer months... maybe inside is better for stable temps?

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anybody has plans online they've seen for building these cabinets. I'm not averse to cutting up Ikea furniture to do it, I just don't want to reinvent the wheel. I figure I can come up with some decent ideas, but I'd like to see what's out there before I get started. I'm thinking to use home air filters with some nice sized fans for intake, so they can be thrown out every few months without a hitch, and the computer will stay dust free inside.

Any ideas folks? Thanks!

"dust free" is unrealistic. you'll significantly cut down on dust buildup, but you won't eliminate it.

Even if I put a washable filter at the entrance and have to "dust it" once a year, that will work for me.

i wouldn't let it live in the garage - way too much moisture and temp swings. the cellar would be much better. even then, i'd raise it up off the floor.

ideally, you want your filter area to be a lot bigger than your fan's area so the restriction is minimized, especially with a fine filter and accumulated dust and dirt.

As stated Dust free isn't a reality. But Aig our Local watercooling guru has caused a hell of a debate here . Me and my wife want to go with These thanks to Aig. But Robert and my daughter are not so sure. and they do have a vailed point also they own the business . But I still carry alot of weight . As air conditioner filters do well if you spend for washable type . But the throw away type forget you won't be happy been there done that . We have been using the washable airconditioner type filters. But we're always open to something newer than what I was aware of . My nephew wants to go ahead and use aig. sugjestion . So he can use push pull fans and Almost any gpu . Here is what aig turned me on to . and I still have one trick up my sleeve . But were going to try these . Air noise may be the defining point .

My main rig is in a run-of-the-mill Lian Li mid tower case with the stock Lian Li filters covering the two front 120mm fans. After around 8 months there's a very slight film of dust inside, like a normal rig would have after a week or two. I have to clean the filters at least once a month if not more, but they are super simple to clean. Just pop off the front (snaps on/off) and press the clips holding the filters in place.

He didn't talk about his garage , So we don't know if it has radiant floor heating as mine does. I keep garage at 67 F year round.
