I need to build a Pentium 4 system and was wondering about the RDRAM... I know I need to terminate open memory slots, and do I have to install them in pairs?

Yep
My config as supplied bank 1 64 mb rimm bank 2 64mb rimm banks 3&4 1 crimm in each

I removed the crimm's and installed two 128 mb rimm's in the banks 3&4

NOTE the speed pc600/pc800 MUST be the same for each pair but better to have the same speed in all also make sure that they the rimms are all ECC of Non ECC

Have fun with the build
ps In**l boards here in the UK ship with two 64mb rimm's pot luck if they are pc600 or pc800

Have to be installed in pairs and must be the same size, ie 2 64MB RIMM's, 2 128 MB RIMM's etc.
Also must be the same speed, and both must have ECC or not have ECC. A CRIMM must be installed in all unused RIMM slots.

RAM for the P4 is a pain in the ass right now, enough so that you'll remember installing RAM in the good old days as pleasant compared the annoyances of RAM on the P4...
