New system will have IWill KK266 mobo, two sticks of 256MB OCZ ICE enhanced PC133, guaranteed to clock 2/2/2 at 150MHz, AMD 1 GHz AYHJA-Y tested to clock at 1606 plus, OCZ 420 watt p/s, IBM 60GXP Deskstar 60GB HDD, etc.

My question is this. I want to get a new video card but do not want to spend an arm and a leg. The two I have my eye on are being sold through Newegg for what I feel is a pretty good price. Here they are:

Leadtek GeForce2 Titanium - 64MB of 128 bit DDR (5ns) - TV-out - Hardware monitoring - Retail for $125 with free shipping

Gainward/CardExpert GeForce2 Titanium/500 XP, 4ns - 64MB or 128 bit DDR, VIVO, Golden Sample Plus - Retail for $139 plus $5 S&H

Has anyone out there had any experience with either of these two boards...or both...and which one do you recommend and why. Thanks for your help.

I like this card: 500MHz RAM means 8.0GB/sec of memory bandwidth...NICE. VIVO, too, so it isn't just a one-card Jack. For your proposed system, I wouldn't want to use a slower card.

Just out of curiosity, why are you going with an sdram board and not a ddr one? A good package deal from OCZ?

Alpha Strike 1:

The short answer is that I won the motherboard, processor and hsf from Neoseeker. I guess winners (or beggars) cannont always be choosers. I am excited about the system even if it is not a DDR board. Thanks for the response.
