Here's what i came up with so far. Kinda on a budget here so if you can find a item for cheaper please lmk. Also lmk if theres something i should change from the list below. All products/prices are from newegg. I wont be using this to game so no need for a high end vid card. I'll be using this to mostly unrar/rip files with isobuster & convert some movies with svcd2dvd here & there. I already got a Maxtor 300GB HD with the 16mb cache & will like another fast drive to go along with it. Thats why i picked the 250 as the 300 was to much. Maybe i can just pick up a 8mb drive for cheaper. Anyway feel free to make changes & thanks in advance for your input.

Looks good to me... If it won't b reak the bank, could you get another NEC drive? That would allow you to burn directly frm dsk to disk without having to use any precious hard drive space.

Wow I've never heard of a comp built solely to unrar/rip files and convert movie files. You have a lot of comps in your house?

Anywhy yeah i'll be using it to search the net & listen to music also. As far as the 2 drives go 90% off the stuff i burn is already on my hd's & if it isnt i save them anyway. Hd space wount be a problem as i already got a 300gig & wanna ad at least another 200-300.

Also yes both cases come with a power supply.

Well i'm going to pick up the Maxtor 250 @ Staples this weekend for about $120. Now what i really wanna know is if the cpu/mobo/ram combo i picked good & could i get better.

I have the same case 3700amb, motherboard, nec 3500a. I have a A64 3000+. No problems. I use corsair value select, but that muskin should be fine. Buy it.
