What will this be used for?
I would get just one raptor for windows/apps/games and another 500GB+ drive for storage etc.
I guess slot loading is nice but I hope you realize that it comes with a $100 premium

Gonna be used to play a wide variation of games. Quake 4, WoW, Oblivion, Crysis, UTK7 and anything else fun that comes out.

You have excellent taste because it's similar to mine :p

P.S : Keep the raptors in raid but if you don't have other HDDs take a 320gb as well for storage..

Do you have a certain CPU cooler in mind, I'm kinda stuck on which one to get.

1. good choice of high end parts
2. its nowhere near your $3k budget
3. your 3k pc will be worth about 1k in about 6 months lol
4. tuniq tower for cpu cooler, or does the zalman 9700 fit?

Scythe Infinity 5 might be a good choice. I'd recommend buying from Jab-Tech. They have great prices, reasonable shipping, and very good customer service.
