Still don't get why you want 2600K and 16GB RAM for gaming.

I feel the same way as you do but I think that he thinks that, the 2600k will get him closer to that 5ghz mark he is aiming for. But correct me if I'm wrong Drazn.

Nope I just want to have a quad in case games start taking advantage of 4 cores. Also im getting 15 gigs just because it so dang cheap. so I figure might as well.

That power supply you've got in there is overkill, unless you plan on 3+ GPUs anytime soon. Perhaps the "High Current Pro 750W" is more up this build's alley? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371052

Also, G.Skill typically has memory going for cheap on Newegg. When you see a 16GB kit on sale, just nab it. I did and I was a happy camper (then I moved to x58, added two more sticks of memory, and was even happier). For a gaming build, there's no reason to buy expensive RAM.

No, an i7 2600K will not help. It is only 100Mhz faster at stock and you will have to turn off HT to get high OCs anyway.

yeah I think i am just going to go with the H100.

I don't think that you've thought this one through. Let's see, you want a solution that is more expensive, bigger, and performs about the same. Where's the logic in that?
