Ok, I'm building an system for running Vista (which is supposed to run flight simulator x several times faster than Direct X 9) and I assume Intel is the best bang for the buck right now. Well according to this it certainly seems that way:

I'm very well versed w/ AMD machines but I know very little about intel. I assume ASUS is the best for Intel mobos?
Also, what graphics cards do you recommend? Flight X uses Direct X 10. The current Direct X 10 cards are expensive:

Are there going to be any $300 Direct X 10 cards coming out soon?
