i've used the top of a pizza box, a cooking board (works really well), foam, just be careful when shorting to start the computer, if the screwdriver touches the wrong two pins you can damage the board but yeah its a great way of making sure everything is working

hm still can't boot from floppy...says like "floppy disc(s) failure 40" anyone know what that means?
