ok im building a comp for my grandma all she needs is a computer good enough to go online with and thats it this is what i got

how does that look does everything look compatiable ?

the motherboard says it soports PATA ATA 133 devices did i choose the right hardrive ?

did i choose the right ram ?

and i cant tell if the PSU is 20 or 24 pins :-(

In all honesty a $299 Dell machine would be better for Granny. Let her call Dell for support 😀

i'd go with a sempron and an antec case/psu combo.

Get a dell, or even better an apple. Apple Mini would be perfect for her, and she would get less spyware. When it comes to cheap machines, companies like dell are often cheaper than building it yourself (plus you get tech support and a warranty).

Dell cheapy, or any other cheapy rig, beats building a crappy one yourself in price and hassle.

If you do end up building it yourself, try to spend a little extra for a decent motherboard. I don't know about the one you've chosen. (I swear I need to build a few more Intel rigs 🙂 )

LOL I missed the "Celeron" part of the equation 😛

At any rate, my suggestion still stands. Those $299 Dell's would be perfect.
