Build Problems... help needed!

I too just bought and put together a new rig. GA-P35-DS3L, E6550, 2x1GB OCZ Plat. memory, 8400GS, Cooler Master eXtreme 650W.

Two main problems:
1) It boots to post, then windows loading and crashes at the same point everytime.
2) When i try to go into setup to mess with BIOS, my keyboard (usb powered) doesnt do a damn thing sooo basically im helpless

Im thinking maybe i could use a PS2 keyboard and see if i can try to reset bios with that.. hopefully. Also, Im thinking it might be the ram. I know the OCZ platinum needs 2.1 v to run properly, but once again i cant get in to do anything. Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful.

1) what's the error?
2) have you cleared cmos? the usb keyb & mouse settings should be on by default. if no, set them up with a ps/2 keyb.

I reset the CMOS which now lets me into the bios. GOOD, but but now it crashes during windows startup. Im trying to run windows XP pro and Im using a HDD that ive used for over 2 years and its never had problems so I dont think that would be the issue.

Any ideas?!
