Total comes to... [Drumroll] $1461... I was aiming for $1500 so this works... opinions anyone? Think I should change something? Ideas to save a few bucks without cutting performance much? Please respond.. thanks for your time.

1. get the EPox 8KDA3J mobo for 99 instead of the mobo you are getting. The only difference is the one you are getting has 6 SATA ports rather than 2 which you aren't using anyways... and also and optical audio output which you also won't be usingwith those speakers. So save your self 50 bucks and get the 8KDA3J

motherboard change... I have no use for that much sata... so good idea, thanks a lot. Id rather not spend 1500 but that is what I aimed for anyways :)

Also, since that is quite a nice gaming rig, get the Audigy 2zs Gamers Edition. Comes with 5 games and only $40 more. Halo, Jedi Academy, and Rainbow Six 3 are the games in that package. Good choice if you don't have them.

Already got halo and can get jedi academy from a friend for like nothing cause he never plays it... the other games Im not interested in... no hardware differences between the gamer and normal?

nope, no hardware difference...go with the regular and save the 40 bucks.

The sound on the Epox is actually pretty good. I wouldn't bother with a ZS with the speakers you are getting I mean 50 dollar speakers are not going to sound any better with that card. If you wre getting a set of digital speakers go for it but they cost alot more than 50 and the sound card is like 100 bucks already. Which is way over your budget.
