Build my new gaming machine!

First off hello to Anandtech Forum Members!

Now down to business and here's the story.

I'm going to be building a top of the line gaming machine in the next month and I need your help! I've been out of the hardware loop for a good while now and I'm totally lost on what new/good gaming technology right now. I've read a bit on SLI an all but it's more of a "well what the hell is good" right about now.

I'm asking you guys to help me build, no really BUILD me a $2100 total enthusiast gaming machine.

Here's what it needs to include/not include:
No keyboard
No mouse
19" LCD Monitor
Nice Looking Case w/ PSU
Motherboard
CPU (Stock heatsink or if there's better)
Ram
HDD
DVD Burner
Enthusiast Sound card
Very nice gaming sound system
And ofcourse the ultimate in Gaming Videocards


I'm more of an AMD guy but hey, think of this as building a $2100 gaming pc for yourself
and tell me what it is! If I left something off the list, by all means add it in. ^_^

How about you do some research, them post a rig. Then we will critique from there, we dont like being peoples' slaves.

Link. Just omit the parts you don't want, and apply the money to other things.

nick my boy that's exactly my problem, I have no clue what is considered "good"

now that's great info! thanks veyr much, I guess I'll make a rig and get a few opnions on what I put in ^_^
