I will be building a new system from scratch. Roughly a $1000-1200max budget.
No Need for monitor mouse or keyboard(these are separate)

So far I have:

Case-
Antec 900 black steel ATX mid
Mboard-
ECS P965T-A (V1.0) LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
Vid Card-
Gforce 8800
Power Sup-
Corsair 520W
Processor-
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
Memory-
3x(Patriot eXtreme Performance 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800)
CPU Cool-
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler

I realy just want to know if there are any less expensive, more efficiant modifications that I can make to this build.
Any thing I missed is every thing compatible?
This is also my first solo build so dont be to harsh.

Thanks

Mem - go down to 2 GB - 3 is pretty much a waste... can upgrade anytime if you need

Use Ninja for cooling - quiet and efficient...

Alos I personally would go for a ASUS mobo ...

I personally would not choose an ECS motherboard. Look at this Biostar instead, especially if you need to keep costs down. Anandtech rated it well in their recent roundup of the P965 boards. The Gigabyte S3 is also worth a look. Asus makes good boards as well, but you'll be spending upwards of $140.

Do you plan to overclock? If so, you could save some money there by going with an e4300 or an e6300 and just o/cing either of those.

I also agree with getting a set of 2GB RAM, instead of the 3GB...plus w/ 2GB it'll run dual-channel.
Corsair
Patriot

For video card, Asus does make good cards, but eVGA does as well.
Here's one with a nice rebate eVGA 8800GTS
Also, here is the factory o/c version Superclocked eVGA

Nice choice of PSU as well. You've got all the basics covered. Good luck
