106,000 miles, new tires, owned by old woman, clean car, leather. Seems to be nice. She will take $3,000. What you think of these cars? Looks to be a nice comfortable big car. Good engine in them? Any known issues?

they float like a boat, thats for sure. Take a look at the underside of the oil cap...if there is a ton of brown goop, the upper intake manifold tube may be nearing failure.

If it's got all the electronic doo dads on the dash they may cause some headaches. The 3.8L had some problems with the intake manifold gasket too depending on what year, do some research to be sure as there was a revised gasket to correct the problem. Otherwise they're pretty comfortable and fairly reliable as far as I know.

What year? I have a 98 that I bought a couple years back, similar situation. Owned by an old couple, they hardly drove it, maybe 100k km on it, been running nice so far. Had to replace the tires, brakes, windchill, exhaust and power window motor (at different times, not all at once). Expected for an older car.

The windchill was my fault, there was a chip in it and I kept procrastinating to get it fixed and one cold winter morning there was a huge crack right across.

But yeah for that price I'd go for it. I paid around 4-5k after taxes for mine a couple years back.
