bug zapper noise

I just installed my HT Omega Claro last night, and when I got the device to activate in windows (had some driver trouble) the card made a pretty audible "bug zap" noise from inside the case. I thought it might have been a fluke but it did it again when I re-installed the drivers today. Should I be worried?

If your sure its the card then pull it out and RMA it. But make sure its the card. The same kind of noise could come from anywhere. So whatever is making the noise needs to be pulled out and not used in the system again.

The HT Omega Claro card is suppose to provide some really loud crystal clear high end audio but not a bug zapper noise. RMA it.

The card works when I play sound, but I am almost positive that the snap noise came from the card, as it is the only new component I added yesterday. I had the side off my case and the noise only occurs at the exact moment that the device is usable in windows. Is it possible that there is some grounding/short issue with the card and my motherboard? Maybe the pci bracket is shorting on something...
