Very nice pics, they are protected so it is illegal to kill them, I have seen them up to seven inches long :Q I also have noticed that they are becoming a bit more common, which is a good thing 😀
 
I have seen one at my school on the lawn and another one at a drive-in movie theater on their lawn. Yes they are very cool looking!

I think the mantis is one of the most ballsy bugs on this earth, that or just plain stupid. They investigate and crawl on EVERYTHING, its almost like they have personality. I find it kinna hard to consider them a bug sometimes. They remind me of turtles, their very slow moving, and kinna check things out as out as they go.
