Call it a bug or call it what you will, but it's a problem that needs fixed, and the Nero folks will fix it.

Just because a program tells the user what it's going to do does not mean the user understands the implications. That user is not "stupid" because they don't understand those implications either, they are simply not computer savy enough to deduce the implications, which has nothing to do with stupidity.

Well I guess we do have to safeguard everything in the world. We might as well live in a bubble so we don't hurt ourselves. No one can be responsible for his/her own actions.

Yes, Nero will fix this but I will not call this a bug. It just isn't user-friendly enough to deal with morons that don't take the time to understand what they are doing.

If someone is stupid enough to:

1) Set their temp folder to their root directory
2) Choose "Yes" when it asks to delete all files

They deserve whatever happens to them.

In other news, MS DOS 6.22 has a bug in the "format" command.

If the user invokes the "format c:/" command, and then chooses yes, all data on the non-removeable disk will be destroyed.

Oh no!

this isnt a bug. if the program asks you to delete all files in the cur dir and you choose yes then thats your fault. dont get me wrong its poor coding but its not a bug.

If the root directory is the default location I would call that a major bug, considering what the program does. Also, who would ever think to use nero to wipe the hard drive? Nero is sold as consumer level software and should have give a warning that important files are getting wiped. Good developers should think of this stuff when writing progs for the average consumer. It does make you laugh when this stuff happens though.

i doubt the root is the default. and yeah, it's a problem, as most users probably still would assume nero is talking about it's own files. it's a psuedo bug :p

on the other hand, i had no idea nero had this feature either... wonder how well it works.
