Bug flew into my door, I thought it was a robber

So I was sitting here, minding my own biz-nass and randomly the door 6 feet away made some weird noise like someone was coming in, so I got scared and turned the garage light on, didn't see anything, then just as I was about to step onto the step, a huge bug was sitting there.

Ok he is a lot bigger looking than in those pics. I'd say about 3 inches long.

Compared to the size of the brick and mortar, I'd say that's not more than an inch long, if that. Looks like a horsefly.
