Last August, Microsoft released Windows updates. After installing them,
many dual-boot configurations and Linux boot media no longer booted.
Microsoft had attempted to block old boot managers. The problem is now said to be resolved.

Microsoft discusses the issue in the Windows Release Health Notes.

Question: did the bug disable the dual bute?
