I remember taking down flies by dry firing a pump bb gun at short range as a kid. It had the same effect as in the video.
The problem with spraying salt is that it pulls moisture from the air and turns into a corrosive goo. H2O + NaCl --> HCl + NaOH

Someone needs to make a parody having a fly dodge the salt "matrix" style, fellow bug saying, "how did you do that? You move like they do"

You're kidding, right? Adding salt to water is going to spontaneously create an acid and a base? Oh, wait, you left out one big part of the equation: energy.

How do you think it corrodes your car? Of course its not really a simple acid base problem, but it is a mess.

Wow, you are being serious! :D

No, it's not an acid/base problem at all. Salt accelerates corrosion, but it doesn't cause the corrosion. Couple of links for you to study, if you're so inclined. :)

...

What's the word for when you add an acid to a base? Oh, right, NEUTRALIZING.

They are going to ship them at the end of Sept. I wonder if these will be available in retail stores and if it'll be cheaper than $30.

Hope they've got a great lawyer on tap for when little Tommy inevitably shoots little Janie in the eye. I should order one soon before lawsuits close them down.

If you were right we wouldn't be able to drink water with salt in it.
