Buffy the Vampire Slayer

was I seeing things? I swear while I was flipping through the channels I say
two girls plant a huge one on each other during the Buffy intro. Never watch Buffy but I watched for an hour and
didn't see anymore lesbo smooches. What giveS?

You missed last week. There was the heaviest lesbian scene (Willow & Terra) I have ever seen on commercial TV.

You'll likely get an eyeful in the reruns (and no doubt on the DVDs). However, Terra (Willow's lover) died in the last show.

I was most impressed with the season finale . . . it's the very best writing (and acting chemistry) in the series in a long (long) time.

This one and the musical were the only really good ones this season, IMHO. I watched seasons 1-5 on the FX reruns and the writing and story arcs were so much better than most of season 6. Wheedon did say in an interview that next year will be ditching the "let's-torment-Buffy-every-week" soap opera of this year for something closer to the fun of season 1.

What impressed me was how the entire season was summed up in this last show . . . and it seemed so "effortless" unlike the other contrived finales of other shows.

In this finale we got a genuine "closure" that the "final episode" (where Buffy died) did not give. Plus, the stage is set for another (hopefully) good season. There was no "hanger" as in Angel . . . but fans are left eager to see how the gang goes on (especially with Spike's new and unexpected granted wish).

Willow kicked ass! She was one wicked wicca! Then the part at the end where she was crying with Xander choked me up. She is a great actress, you could almost feel what she was going through...the rage...the sorrow...the addictivness of power...
I wonder if Giles is back for good or if he's going back to England? I hope not, because that will reignite the ole Scooby-gang feeling that's been missing this season and pretty much ever since they graduated high school.

Agreed . . . the best acting ever in a Buffy . . . this show needed every minute of it's allotted two hour time slot.

And it's pretty obvious that Giles is back . . . Spike too (more conflicted than ever with his new "status").

I found it amusing, especially after how Onya treated him the entire episode.

I litterally missed the last 20 seconds. Spike was laying on the ground and I changed the channel. I assumed he passed the last of the tests. You say the demon gave him a soul instead of some super power to fight Buffy? Ack, I bet Spike wasn't expecting that. 🙂

Great episode!!

Spike wished to be "as he was before" (of course, he was referring to the implanted chip in his brain). The vampire master basically said 'your wish is granted, your soul is returned to you' . . . "aaaaaaaahgh!" . . . great ending!

Bahaha, I had a feeling Spike would end up getting the shaft when he went there. That must be some serious torment, since odds are Buffy still wouldn't touch him (again) with a 10ft pole.

Oh well. He should look on the bright side. He banged Buffy - repeatedly. 😀

No lesbo makeout because one of the pair was dead, gunshot to chest dead. But Anya... whoah, one hot semi-powerful demoness.
