ive been getting this lately on my artec cdr52x. i got them when i first installed it until i realized it had to be on the secondary channel away from the hd's. then it went away. well now its back again for no reason. Why?
 
Yes, i had gotten knocked down to pio because of a user error, lol, but now its back to dma 2. but im still getting the buffer underun
 
Do you have enough free HDD space? How about enough free ram? Other than that, a new CD-Burner with buffer underun protection (which works really well - trust me) can be had for under $20 after rebate...
