Buffer Size in RC5

I need some help. I am running the client at home and it does not have a constant connection (damn dialup). Right now it only downloads a few wu's and then it attempts to connect to the key server. How can I set it up so that it downloads enough that I can connect only once or twice a day and still get full use of the system? Thanks for the help.

FYI the computer is a Cel 2 566@850. Thanks again.

Go to the client configuration screen. (double click on the cow icon and then right click on the window, or run 'dnetc -config').
Then choose option 2 Buffer and Buffer update.
Choose option 13 and set the RC5 part of it to 'RC5=0', next choose
option 14 and set the value to the number of hours you want to buffer.

--minor addition--
hit 0+enter a few times and when the cracking starts again do an update (right click in windows->update).

This brings me to another question. I will only connect once or twice a day and as you can see from above I am running a Cel 2 566@850. How many wu's would you recommend me setting this to? I appreciate the help. I want to do my part for the team. Thanks again.

just enter the number of hours you want to buffer at option 14.
The client then calculates how much wu's it needs.
I think it's best to buffer for about 1 or 2 days so you can enter something like 48, so you don't run out of blocks if you can't
get online for a longer time.

I'm not sure if it will flush automaticly when you get online, but you can always do it manually (rightclick on cow icon->update).

For the client to autoupdate while you're online do this:

Goto the config, option 2, then 6, then 9.

It should read something like "9) Dialup-link detection ==> Normal mode" now change it to be option 2, should look like this: "9) Dialup-link detection ==> Dial-up detection ONLY mode" now you can just ignore the client when you connect as it will autoupdate while you're online and don't try to connect while you're offline.

If you use any of the other choices under Dialup-link detection you run the risk that your box will autodial when it thinks it needs more work. If you don't want it to do that it could be quite annoying.
