So I got a couple WLI-U2-AG108HP cards, and instead of using the disk, I usually just hit the web for the latest drivers.
They only offer the fricking "client" for download, not the actual drivers. Serious wtf moment. Why would you
a) not package the drivers with the utility
and/or
b) not offer the drivers for download?
So far, I'm not really pleased with them. Craptastic web support is a bad thing from any vendor. Glad I didn't toss all the CD's out yesterday (I kept one, "just in case"). I already downloaded netgear drivers, DLink drivers, and Cisco drivers for various card today, and Buffalo is the only one to be missing drivers on their web page.
Edit:
Rant 2, they don't have signed WHQL drivers (not that big a deal) but they dismiss the dialog, rather then letting you make a choice, that's bad mojo, scooby doo.
Edit2:
Rant 3, no WPA support in their client, instead you have to run WZC...why even offer a client then? What crap, I hope their AP's are better then their adapters, ad their adapters have (thus far) left a bad taste in my mouth. I really wish Intel had a USB adapter....
