Ok, I know I'm a NooB @ this and I've read a lot of posts here and learned a lot. I finally nutted up and laid out the dough for the system. I couldn't find any BH-5 Winbond memory in my price range so I decided to buy 2 sticks of Buffalo Tech DD4002-512/WC, which according to Buffalo's website is Winbond CH-5, from NEWEGG for $105 a stick. I guess you could say I'm having buyers remorse. Do you think this memory will take say 230-240Mhz of FSB? As you can see in my sig I got a Thermalright ALX-800 w/ a Tornado and a Thermalright NB-1 active Northbridge cooler, as well as sinks for the MOSFETS. The case has 6 34CFM fans, 3 intakes and 3 exhausts, with a side cover intake and a top mounted blowhole. I hope this setup will keep it pretty cool so i can hit 10.5x240. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments

No, you're definitely not going to get 240 out of CH-5 chips, and 230 isn't very likely either. The highest I've heard of them running is around 220. Of course, if you don't mind running them at 3-4-4-x, you might very well hit 230 or even 240, but at those timings, you would have been much better off with 220 at tight timings.

Well I'll have to see how they stand up to 3.3v vdimm and see what I can get out of them. From what I've been able to find out the NF2 boards, other than BH-5, respond best to the CH-5 stuff. I could always RMA it and get something else if you can tell me what'd be faster for 1GB at $210.

The only thing that would be faster/better than that CH-5 Buffalo is the ~$350-per-gig Mushkin 2-2-2 Special.

I've talked to a Buffalo Tech technician at amdmb.com forums and he said @ 11-2-2-2 and 3.2/3.3 vdimm i should get at least 230 or more with the CPC turned off. I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before all the components arrive.

Well, dang, if you plan on giving your CH-5 chips upwards of 4v, yeah, they're going to do more than 220 fsb.

Well 3.3v is a long way from 4v of vdimm and the board does it unmodded. All the xp mobiles on the DFI LPII that have hit 2.6Ghz or more are running at least 3.1v if they are hitting a good FSB instead of multiplier to get that kind of speed.
