Take 12 wing sections, weigh them, eat them, weigh the bones.

Subtract the weight of the bones to figure out how much meat you got. I think you'll be surprised. Plus the meat in the wing portion is more tender & easier to get at.

Oh, and everyone has a different hotness scale, so 1 to 5 is meaningless. But, I used to love when the occasional cocky person who thought he was a tough guy would say "your hot is my mild. Make them as hot as you possibly can." I really loved the reaction. No one ever finished more than 2 or 3 of those wings. The employees paid for the hot sauce out of pocket; it wasn't on the menu, but was worth it for the entertainment.
uh oh. the wing-pen0r is strong in this one 😛

Why don't you just tell us the answer? 🙁

I felt the same way about the hotness scale. I sort of figured Frank's would be the 1 and something like 10k+ Scoville units for the high end.

I would guess (and I think he's implying) that the wings have less bone.

My preferred sauce (Blair's Sweet Death) is ~3k scoville units IIRC, and I don't consider it to be particularly hot. I'd say 10k is a good estimate of the hottest you're likely to find in a restaurant (not at a chain restaurant). Most restaurants wouldn't have something that hot though. The hottest I've had was Blair's After Death which I believe was 50k scoville units. Only did that once. 😱

Bring it on.

hot drumsticks, I like wingnuts quite a bit (which is where i think the op's wings pictures are from), I just wish they didn't raise their prices =\

I'd consider El Yucateco to be pretty hot, and it's about 6k IIRC. I'd probably put it at 4 on this scale, but of course that's just me.

Drumsticks definitely, I hate wings with no meat on them.

Voted for a 3/5 because I like them hot but still with flavor, I'll eat a 4 or 5 but you can't eat as many and it kills the gut. Hot enough but not so they result in a ring of fire the next day.

I keep Dave's Insanity in my fridge, 160k scovilles I believe, I also really enjoy Crazy Jerry's Mustard Gas, 120k scovilles.

Blairs is good shit too, try Blairs Mega Death sauce, 250k scovilles if I am not mistaken, or Magnum 357, a supposed 357,000 scovilles... I dont think anyone can really handle anything hotter than that... they make shit that is in the millions, but it is not a sauce, but a cooking ingredient 😛

If they both are the same price then I take the drumstick.

Is BWW that good? The one nears here always busy.

love em both, 6+. The hotter the better, also more beer the better. When my brothers and I go to BWW, we get 100 wings, I have some shots of the aftermath on my phone, I may get em up later. I like to bite the ends off adn suck out the marrow. Also when I make em at home, I use some of Da Bomb.

No, it's decent, but nothing spectacular. They just have a nice variety of sauces.

They call it buffalo wings, not buffalo drumsticks so my vote go to wings.

As hot as they come so 6+

The drumettes are half of the wing.

I might be a bit confused, but...

Noun 1. chicken drumstick - the lower joint of the leg of a chicken
chicken leg
drumstick - the lower joint of the leg of a fowl

"I could take one drumstick and put it in my mouth and suck all the meat off it at one time and then just pull out that bone."

Watched "Be Cool" earlier today, and The Rock saying that line made me laugh my ass off.

This is closer than the election!

Drumsticks

both, but you don't have a n answer for that so i chose wings. in any event i make my own using sweet baby ray's, some tapatio sauce and a plastic tub to shake it up. add some ranch dressing and it's solid gold. 🙂

I was in florida with a guy I work with. We were having lunch, which was BBQ. He said that there wasn't much flavor and asked if anyone had any sauce. Aparently with the lunch for the group, we also got a bottle of daves insanity sauce. Someone gave it to him, and I said 'you really don't want to use that'. He said 'why'? and dumped a TON onto his sandwich. Literally like 1/4 the bottle.

The entire room gasped when he did it. He just looked at them all funny and took a big bite out of his sandwich. Then another. He ate the whole damn thing while we watched. He took like 1 little sip of water. Like a little dainty one. that's it.

Then he said, 'that was pretty good. Good sauce'. We were stunned. He still doesn't understand what he did. I think he has no taste buds or something. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would call bullshit if I ever heard it. I would have expected his head to explode.
