Well I used two of the 256mb modules in my 400sc and it works fine.

Thanks guys. I got one 512Meg. If it works ok I will order another one for my 400SC..

You Want 2 sticks to get DUAL DDR... One stick will give you poor performance...

Right.. That why I said "If it works ok I will order another one for my 400SC." Thanks anyway. But if it does not do 400Mhz for some reason I can RMA it and save some on the restocking fees. Right? ANd if it works, I get the other one. Cool....
good idea since shipping is free anyways.

i ordered 2 myself since i havent heard of any problems with the 400sc
i don't have the patience like you

I ordered this last night then realized that they had a customer appreciation offer with this purchase.

I sent them an very nice email along with my order # & they are sending out a surprise package to me even though I forgot to include it on my order!

If only 1/2 of the companies out there appreciated their customers like newegg we'd have a much happier economy. :D

Thanks again for this deal.

Just for any of those doubters or questioners out there if it works well with the 400SC ... I have 4 sticks of it running at stock speeds in my 400SC (P4 3.2) so I have a total of 2.0 GB of Dual Channel Goodness and let me tell you, Microsoft Word never typed so fast ... just kidding ... but seriously, I am amazed at how well these chips handle everything, I want to do some benchmarking but we'll see about that after my wife is out of the hospital ...

And AFTER I get a better video card than this MX440 POS ...

How good would you rate buffolo ram compared to say corsair, kingston, and crucial.

Also does this work at 400FSB 2.5cas in DELL400SC?

Yea would like to know that also, cuz instead on changing multiplier for my 2500+ i'm gonna bump up FSB, wouild 3200 be the way to go with 400FSB?

Yeah it will do 400 no problem.

I have a 2500+ and the abit nf7-s 2.0 and my buffalo is at 400mhz dual chan, the cpu is at 3200+ @ 2.2ghz

But i bought my ram off the guy who sells it at the amdmb.com forums, he has a slightly better price and maybe his batch is better then this, i dont know.

Performance Acceleration Disabled? I do not believe so, I was not aware that I needed to change anything in the stock BIOS really, the only real thing I did was disable hyperthreading because I truly did not need it running at this given moment and seemed to get a little performance boost from having it turned off ...

Am I missing something here?

you can find some info about the technology towards the middle of the page: Text

but basically--4dimms slightly slower than 2dimms--just slightly
