Buffalo makes a lion do two artistic somersault - any damage done to the big cat?

Just one of these days, those buffaloes will realize that they're some biggest, baddest mofos on this earth.
It's interesting to see the way the herds will sometimes react.

"Hey look, Bill's gone down. Man, it's like, two lions against.....320 of us. Oh well. Predators, eh? What're ya gonna do. So anyway, are we still on for tonight?"

Yeah, I didn't see any obvious horn penetration so whatever the damage was it wasn't likely to be much more than superficial.

Now, the Cape Buffalo is one bad ass beast and I think I heard they kill more people each year then Lions do. If I not mistaken, Hippo's are the beast's the kill the most people each year in Africa with Cape Buffalo's number two.

OTH, there are a couple prides of Lions in Southern Africa that actually go after adult Elephants and kill them. They single out one and then, using numbers, overwhelm the Elephant, kill then eat him. If you don't believe me ask SilverPrime... 😵 😉

Commentator said 5 meters into the air.....hardly.

Well it looked like the top part of the Lion was, maybe 3m but it's center of mass wasn't likely to be much more than 2m.

I've see video of American Buffalo launching stupid people 3m-5m feet in the air. Of course, an adult human is, perhaps, 90ish kg's whereas an adult female Lion is more like 160ish kg's so it makes sense that they could toss a human higher.

Lion seems fine, very hard for an attack such as the spear and lift to puncture a lion's skin. Not enough force applied towards the lions center before lifting was applied so the buffalo merely lifted the lion by its skin, not by anything internal.
