Buffalo Technology late today announced that a federal judge has stayed the permanent injunction in its ongoing U.S. patent litigation with Austrailian science agency Commonwealth Scientific Research and Industrial Organization (CSIRO).

The order staying the permanent injunction confirms that Buffalo is free to once again sell IEEE 802.11a, 802.11g and 802.11n compliant products in the United States.

The Court decison was rendered more than a month ago, thus far none of the main stream vendor have new supply of the Devices.

Some left over WHR-HP-G54 are available from small obscure vendors for double the price that was announce by Buffalo ($59.99).

If the WHR-HP-G54 would be available for $59.99 (and probably a little less from the big retailer) it would the best stop gap until the next standard is agreed upon.

The WHR-HP-G54 with its MIMO and High Power does the same, and better than many Drafts.

Yes sir. Though I will admit, I'm quite fond of my Asus WL-500 G Premium v2. Performs as well as the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 and wireless signal is the same from equal distances. Though I did like the buffalo's better, they were much smaller but the Asus I do believe has more memory onboard (32mb). I can't complain.
