How bad is the shitting and peeing all over the place? We've had a few small pets in the past that were nice but the random shits are a bit of an issue usually.

They are fully litter trained. It's like having a cat, but they do not smell as much as cats do.

Friend of my father has several birds (including a parrot that likes to hide in his shirt) and several cats. Aside from the cat hair their house looks clean. It's also a boathouse which is odd. They are very odd people come to think of it.

i have known one. a good friend of mine's mother had a huge parrot. around the cage was a little messy but rest of the house was spotless.

that bird was a pain. it didn't' like me. whenever i got near it would try to bite whoever was holding it.

If you get them from the shelter, which everyone should if they are going to get a bunny, they will let you know if they are litter trained or not. You can do it yourself pretty easily if they are younger, but a good number of the shelter bunnies use their litter well.

Cats are pretty disgusting in that sense.

What do you need to care for rabbits? I haven't had a pet since the 90s but I've thought about getting something for awhile now. I assume rabbits require the same level of care/investment as a dog or cat does.
