I'd send you my 3DFX voodoo3 card 🙂 Runs diablo great. I have no idea if it works anymore though.
I would go to a local computer store or craigslist and see if you can buy an old 2-4x AGP video card for $5-10.

If you could get a new computer, something like this Dell for $269 is really a great bargain basement rig.

This thread was intended to be a very small-scale social experiment. I wanted to see how helpful the enthusiast crowd would be to someone obviously young, inexperienced, and possessing only a basic knowledge of computer hardware.

I would give the people that posted in the thread a 9/10 in terms of the help:criticism ratio.

It reeked of BS but hand me down computers to young kids are common. The big red flag is calling diablo a new game. 5yo's know more about hot new games then I do 😛

I'm going to go ahead and lock this. Nothing wrong was done (I think?) but since the experiment has run its course, I think this is just going to lead to more confusion from people who didn't read the entire thread.
