Budget Printer

I need a good, cost effective printer. Colour is not important to me, so I thought I'd have a look at laser printers. I've seen this and was surprised by how cheap it was. However, I don't know much about laser printers - is it true the toner cartridges last a lot longer than an inkjets?

Would you recommend I get this or get a similarly priced inkjet (if so, which one?).

my roomate had the exact same printer. it printed out 2500-3000 pages per cartridge. great laser printer

I use the Samsung 1710 which is a great small Footprint Laser...comes with a Toner saver but the cartridge that came with the Printer (smaller volume wise than reg) only printed half the amount then the one I purchased to replace it. No complaints other then a Tad loud..
