Question Budget mobo recommendation

Hey guys. I am building a budget PC for an older lady who wants to play Monsters & Memories. System requirements are vague at the moment:
  • 16gb of RAM
  • A modern-ish CPU

Her budget is really only $40 to $50 for the MOBO. I've had good luck ordering from Ebay in the past. So, I'm not opposed to rolling the dice on an open box for her. Just need some recommendations. The newer the better.

problem is the RAM prices are bonkers right now.

You won't even be able to get half the ram requirements for that game with the budget you listed now.

Your honest best bet is trying to find a retired Dell, or HP system, and then dropping in a 1050 class video card. That however even will probably push your budget over.

best bang for the buck would be to buy either a good used system or a good used motherboard/CPU/ram combo and do the rest yourself.
