budget gaming comp for a friend

ok, I had a friend ask me to get him a computer. He has 800$ to spend, sans monitor.

I really have no idea what to get. Cheap processor, better gfx? He's really not to picky about preformance, he used to play oblivion on a x600.

so seriously though, I really have no idea how this is going to work.

Okay so we have the price... he wants to game?
What other parts does he need other than the processor, ram, hd, video card, mobo, case, powersupply, dvd drive?

A very low price and if it still comes with AE III u can sell it on ebay for 35 bucks. Making this card cost about 140 which is insane

The only thing is that I don't really think he needs dual core. Are there many DC optimised games out?

man...if you were at hot deals not long ago. Dell was selling a 20" LCD 2007FP screen with a pent 4 630 (3.0ghz) , half a gig of ram, 80 gig HDD, DVD-R/CD-RW drive, keyboard, mouse, and win xp home ed for 599.99!!!! and another 5 % off with a coupon!!
