Budget build

So my sister asked me to build her a budget system so my nephew (8 years old) could play some video games and she could do some net surfing/word proc. I've got pretty much everything set on what I want to build with, but thought I'd stop here for some tips. With a budget around 400 (excluding monitor) what should I put the most money in to? I've pretty much decided on a mobo with integrated graphics because the games my nephew are playing would not need more than that. And most likely I'll be using a small case with a micro atx board. I'm kind of hung up on the cpu, and if I should get a new PSU to put in the case or just use a stock psu that comes with a cheap case. I'm also undecided whether to go AMD or INTEL, personally I'm an AMD man, but this isn't for me. Input would be awesome.

rite now going for AMD Socket 939 is not the rite thing to do .
AM2 coming in months .

secondly iam using the Intel Setup , and my mobo Intel D945GTPL has Intregrated Intel GMA 950 .
iam playing Farcry and Juiced rite now .
they reason i went for Intregrated graphics is coz i was low on cash , and decided to go for a High-End graphics card later in the sumers .

Peace & ciao !!!

I'd put a Hyperthreaded Intel into it because trying to talk to them about doing one thing at a time is... well, you've already been there and done that!

Then I'd stick money into Norton Internet Security 2006 and Pest Patrol and password protect both and you can just walk away from that rig and it will hum along just about no matter what they do!

If you knew what you were talking about, i doubt you would have made that statement.

AM2 will not effect the OP at all in his purchase, be it s939 or intel.

I would recommend going with a micro atx board using the new nVidia 6150 integrated graphics chipset, these boards use a s939 processor.

Okaaayyy...why would he need AM2 for??? His sister is net surfing/word processing and his nephew is probably playing some kiddie games...yea he really needs to get AM2 for that. And with a budget of $400?? AM2 mobo and chip alone would probably pass that amount...
Just get an AMD Athlon 64 3000 Venice for your chip if you're goin 939...if 754, then the Semprons are a great chip for most basic needs and uber cheap and the Athlon 64 are great too. The PSU that comes with the case will be fine for what you've got.
