Budget build examples

Torn Mind

Lifer
Had an old thread, but that was too messy. So, I'll post 5 configurations, one for the Celeron G1610, one for the A10-5800K, one for the Athlon x4 750K, one for the FX-4300/6300, and one for an i5.

Naturally, Windows 7 Professional might provide some features that are compelling for some. It costs about $30-40 dollars more than Windows 7 Home Premium.

I don't think your A10 build needs the CX500 over the CX430.

You can also combo the Lite-ON DVD Burner with the 750K and 4570 to save some cash.

True, but the CX500 is currently cheaper than the CX430 or CX430M; it is $29.99 after promo code "COMPNTSEP12" and a $20 rebate.

Yes, good to point out that combo. PCpartpicker does have it, but you must click on the "PCpartpicker part list" link first.

Seems like the CX500 has a combo with that Sapphire card I selected as well.

Update for this week.

Celeron build hasn't changed much. Other builds have had a massive price decrease.

Celeron build notes:
There is a nice combo with the Rosewill-Galaxy-02 and Seagate 1 TB Barrucuda. ($90)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1411987

$20 rebates available on each stick of RAM; that means two rebates
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220806

Promo code for 3$ off on the disk drive. "EMCXLWV29"

$20 on the Corsair CX430 PSU
----------
A10 build notes
The Gigabyte mobo has a nice combo with various A-series processors. It works with the A8-5600K as well. If you choose the A8, the final price is $430.80. You can also select the A8-6600K, which has a higher clockspeed than the A10. The total with the 6600K is $453.80.

I chose different RAM to suit those who'd prefer to not risk $40 in rebates. You instead only have $10 to lose

The Rosewill Galaxy-02 Case and Corsair CX430 have same deals as mentioned in the Celeron section of this post

DVD drive is the same as in Celeron build.
-----------------
750K build notes
I decide to vary the 750K build a bit with the mobo choice. You could very well use the one in the A10 build.

The graphics card has a combo with the motherboard.http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1434457

The case and CPU have a combo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1427366

-------------
FX-6300 build notes
You can also purchase a combo of the FX-6300 and Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 for $2 more. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1420834

The RAM is $58 after promo code "0910BTS61", so if you don't want to deal with rebates, this is the pair of sticks for you.

The Cooler Master RC-430-KWN6 has a combo with the Sapphire video card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1428844
Alternatively, you could take advantage of the aforementioned Rosewill Galaxy-02 and Seagate 1TB HDD combo.

--------
i5 build notes

Lots of rebates in this build. RAM, case, PSU, and Graphics Card. Better read the directions carefully!

Cooler Master Force case combos with the GPU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1428839

Intel CPU combos with DVD drive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1420365

You can get the i5-4570 for only $10 more with a similar combo.
