Budget AGP upgrade. EVGA 6800 AGP 128M for $213 - $150 MIR

This is a good upgrade for those considering a 6600GT AGP upgrade. Slightly faster performance at a lower price after the MIR. Stock is very limited as this is a Clearance item. Though...it is a PITA to deal with the rebate. I picked one up to play with.

This is for the plain 6800 non GT or ULTRA.

6800ULTRA > 6800GS > 6800 > 6800XT > 6800LE

so yes, consider 6800XT was $119AR this is a hot deal.

Uhhh...I can. I went in to buy Locked On Modern Air Combat Gold on sale this week and saw this deal and bought one to play with. Again...very limited supplies so YMMV. The store I went in only had 3 (now 2 after I bought one).

Garlic: Where did you find the 10% coupon? Now that is a SMOKIN' deal!!!!

The 10% off coupons come when you recieve a circuit city mail-in rebate. Many stores sold out today.

glendale, ca seemed to had one.

check fullerton store if you're in OC. they have a big store but dont seem to have lots of traffic.

Enh, looks like it only gets 3 to 10 fps over a Radeon 9800pro. Not worth $85 to me ,especially with a risky $150 rebate.

"Anyone confirm this?"

its a difference price in different markets. here it was $279 br
bought the wd 200gb instead

I think there is a significant performance advantage for the 6800 in most games, even if you're unable to unlock all 16 pipelines. I've owned (and like) both the 6800 and 9800 pro and can't imagine why anybody would consider the currently higher-priced 9800 pro over this deal.

As for the "risky" rebates, while I'm not keen on such big ones I haven't had a bad experience with either CC or EVGA - have you?

Anyone have a link to the actual rebate for this since it does not seem to appear in the URL posted earlier? I'd like to try buying online since out of stock locally.

You are going to have to go to the store. Remember...this is a "CLEARANCE" item. Meaning no longer carried....need to get rid of to make space for current items. It is not a promotional product with current advertised rebates. This is meant to help CC get rid of old stock. Garlic posted a pic of the price tag. And if you beg him hard enough...he may even post pics of the rebate slips 😀. As for me....I'm too lazy to do that!

I went to the Circuit City in Louisville and they had one but it was $280 - $150 for a net of $130. They checked their system and that was how it came up everywhere in the district even though it was marked clearance.

**** 3/2
Persistance paid off, after 4 tries I finally found an asst. mgr willing to match the $198 Oklahoma receipt for their last one in stock. I asked them if the match to another CC would invalidate the rebate and they said no, it should go through just fine.
