Hi everyone,
I wanted to look a bit further into a question that I had that came out of an issue I had in the general hardware forum thread. I am looking at the various options to upgrade my current monitor - it is a 24" 1920x1200 Westinghouse L2410NM that I bought back in the summer of 2007.

The monitor I am looking at is this one:

I am aware that it is the "budget" line so I am not expecting the world; from what I gather in reading the reviews on the site the display is OK but it is fairly basic as far as features and the stand isn't great. I'm fine with that - as long as the display is good for reading text and for gaming (mostly FPS/RPG games) I'm not too picky (also bear in mind what I am upgrading from).

Anyone have any experience with this monitor/this company?

Thanks!
Drew

I have the 30" version. The monitor is slightly too cool. The lack of a scalar means there's low input lag-but it also means you can't adjust the color except by software. It's fine for text and gaming, and the contrast is far better than a TN. The color, however, is not as vibrant as I'd hoped. Anyone into photography or print work should stay away from the 30". I don't know about the 27". Still, considering my 30" was about half the price of a comparable IPS 30" I'm not going to complain.

Monoprice has been good at customer service for me.
