Since nobody else wants to acknowledge the elephant in the room, I will.

I am convinced this movie is nothing more than a social experiment to see how retarded people are. And let me be clear, I work with bonafide retards and even they see how stupid this movie is.

So is Adam Sandler laughing all the way to the bank with your money?

Did anyone see the commercial for this? Even the people who tried to advertise it make it look horrible.

The movie looks really lame, but Nick Swardson is funny as hell. If you have Netflix, check out his stand-up "Seriously, Who Farted?"

I can't understand how things like this come into existence. Social experiment, indeed.

i can't understand how funny comic + popularity = instant least funny person in existence. this formula is without fault.

but yeah, it's pretty mind-blowing that they're making something that makes 'dickie roberts' look like a cinematic masterpiece (fwiw i was bored and watched it on cable- it had its moments). i especially like the trailers that include 'crazy naked stoner guy' from grandma's boy randomly popping on screen and yelling things.

edit- although i didnt find the trailers for apollo 18 or any of the other crap that they advertise every five minutes any better/less annoying.

lol - I debated starting this topic last night and went with my better judgement.

I can't believe theaters even choose to play this movie.

Adam Sandler is involved in this? It's got to be crap. Tried to watch a movie the other night with him and Jennifer Aniston in it. I couldn't make it past about 30 minutes. Plus the previews of Bucky make it look like the worst piece of shit, ever.

We were talking about this film last night. I told my friend he is clinically insane for thinking it might be funny.

He's a great actor. Why who could forget Oscar gold such as...
-The Water Boy
-Big Daddy
-Little Nicky
-Mr. Deeds
-Eight Crazy Nights
-I now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry
-You don't mess with the Zohan
-Grown ups
-Zookeeper

Adam Sandler's primary demographic is males ages 13 to 13.5. I think he fancies himself as an edgy comic but just comes off as being childish. How Comedy Central put him on par with Dave Chapelle and way ahead of Louis CK is beyond me. MTV/Viacom seems to think his shit is gold.

Tbh I like water boy. That said the last couple of his movies have been really really bad and this one looks to be -by far- the worst

Never heard of it, and after googling it I'm glad it's not being released in UK cinemas.

I USED to be an Adam Sandler fan until I figured out he was just cranking out shit just to make a buck, starting with "Grown Ups." This new movie of his is BEYOND retarded, but some retard will go out and watch it.

has his 'studio' put out anything good?

i mean, grandma's boy was pretty funny- iirc adam sandler had like no credits with that movie. i think swardson and the star wrote it.

and then there was happy gilmore and billy madison, before he had a studio.

and SNL.

is that a good summary of the non-shit that he's been involved with?

Starting with Grown Ups? :D:eek:D:

I'm cutting him some slack. Pretty much the only movies I liked from him are "Happy Gilmore" (LOVED that movie), "Billy Madison" and "Grandma's Boy" (LOVED this one too). "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" was ok. It grew on me.
