Question BubbleUPnP security?

I was recently recommended Bubble by a colleague who claims it's perfectly safe to use. Can anyone speak to that at all? Is BubbleUPnP secure and if not out of the box, is there something I can do to make it safer to keep running all the time? I want to access my entire music share library when I'm not at home.

I noticed that too. Really slowed down the whole program on my PC. Was updating constantly in the background.

I have it running in a vm off an ssd and I scheduled the updates to middle of the night. of course it will fetch metadata the moment you add to the library though.
I think I have over 20k media files but still.

Yeah, I hate anything that automates operations. I just wish there was a simple... tunnel into your PC safely, access media files from away, play a folder in a simple GUI. I don't want to have to curate my home collection and a large flash storage card on a media player.

my plex is running in a virtual server on my home server lol, not on a media player.

I got a response yesterday from the dev when I asked about several things, but also in relation to my expressing concern over security. His response was..
"BubbleUPnP Server is designed with security in mind with access protected by login/password. I recommend to connect to BubbleUPnP Server using https, for encrypting all traffic."

Just in case anyone's interested.
